If you are reading this, I want to say thank you and I’m sorry.
I would imagine that most blogs don't start this way. Well, this one does. I
have never been one to follow the crowd due to my crazy way
of doing things. All though, at times, it may be beneficial to follow, just from a distance.
So, to begin, you may ask “why the sorry?” Well, I want to apologize for neglecting my webpage, my blog, and my readers.
My insecurities and struggles with spelling and grammar have played key roles in not pursuing this blog. But, today is a new day, and I strive to be more accountable, not only to you as readers, but to myself as well.
So first and foremost, I will let you in on my secret to being a better blogger. GET AN EDITOR! And, pray for mine. She is a good family friend, and an amazing blogger in her own right. Without further adieu, meet my editor, Morgan Cooley. “Say Hi Morgan.”
While I am aware that this is a website for photography, it is also a first hand method for me to communicate with you-- my reader, client, and fellow photographer. There are many websites and blogs similar to this-- but I strive to be different.
“Why would I read another article by another photographer telling me what I should or shouldn’t do?” I am thrilled that you asked! I don’t plan to tell you what to do, hell, I don’t have all of the answers to my own questions. Instead, I would rather discuss struggles and victories along my journey as a professional photographer. I want this to be an outlet for a two way conversation. I’ll have questions for you, as I hope that you will have questions for me. If there is one thing that I have learned thus far, it is that there is no “right” or “wrong” way, as long as you and your client receive the desired result.
Why the “thank you?” Because it is you who is taking the time to read my thoughts, concerns, and desires. I hope that you get out of it all that I put into it. I hope down the road to do FaceBook photo challenges, product reviews, and featured photographers. The possibilities are endless! You and I can do as much or as little as we want with this. As for me? I promise to “do more!”
